Recognizing the importance of Early Childhood Education, Leonardo Da Vinci Academy offers two exceptional programs for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. Both programs nurtutre independance, curiosity, and other Da Vincian principles, and both are based on the Montessori methodology.

Casa Montessori is a CCMA accredited Montessori preschool for children aged 2.5 to 6 years old. The Casa classroom is also licensed by the Ontario Ministry Casa Montessori stimulates the child’s cognitive, creative and social development. Children advance through Montessori materials by building upon previous learning experiences. The Casa’s formal curriculum includes Language, Mathematics, Culture, Sensorial Experiences, Practical Life Skills and Physical Development. Casa graduates are well prepared for Lower Elementray Montessori. The Casa directresses hold qualification form accredited Montessori training centres. Full and half day programs include nutritious lunches and snacks and plenty of opportunities for creative expression in language and the arts. The directress provides the dynamic link between the children, the Montessori environment, and the parents.

Scuola Materna is an Italian immersion Montessori based preschool for children aged 4 to 6 years old and is unique in Canada. Scuola Materna Leonardo Da Vinci is recognized by the Italian government as an authentic Italian preschool. Like Casa Montessori, Scuola Materna encourages each child to develop a healthy attitude toward living and learning. This is accomplished through creative activities and self-directed exploration of materials. The full day program includes nutritious lunches and snacks and plenty of opportunities for creative expression. Since they are immersed in the Italian culture while learning, Scuola children develop fluency in the Italian language. The Scuola teachers hold both Italian and Canadian teaching qualifications. Graduates of Scuola Materna are not only well prepared for Lower Elementary but develop greater capacity for language in general.
